MEET YOUR LPGA*USGA GIRLS GOLF

TOUR AMBASSADORS

This year, the LPGA announced that Stacy Lewis, Brittany Lincicome, Lizette Salas, Lexi Thompson and Tiffany Joh would join the movement to grow the game of golf for girls by signing on to become the new National Ambassadors for LPGA*USGA Girls Golf.  In this capacity, they will help communicate the benefits of the Girls Golf program where our mission is to improve the lives of girls and women through the game of golf.  Each of the five new ambassadors will represent one of the "Five E’s of Girls Golf" – Empower, Enrich, Engage, Exercise, and Energize.

People often say that Champions are made on the putting green – we think they’re made starting with a dream! Stacy Lewis started playing golf at the age of 8 and was diagnosed with scoliosis when she was 11.  Even after wearing a back brace for 7 years and undergoing surgery, she didn’t let those challenges stop her from making her dream to play on the LPGA Tour come true.  After donating $50,000 of her winnings to Girls Golf, she truly makes little girls believe that dreams can come true, making her our LPGA*USGA Girls Golf Enrich Ambassador.  LPGA Bio and Stats>>

Lexi Thompson took the golf world by storm at the age of 12, becoming the youngest player in history to qualify for the U.S Women’s Open.  Now she’s both a winner on the LPGA Tour and off as she is known as one of the Tour’s most fit players. After waking up, she practices for three hours in the morning, eats lunch, and then goes out and plays eighteen or more holes.  When she’s not on the course you’ll likely find her in the gym working with her trainer.  She is the perfect woman to be named our LPGA*USGA Girls Golf Exercise Ambassador! LPGA Bio and Stats>>

When Lizette Salas began playing golf at the age of seven she remembers her father bringing her and a friend to the Kraft Nabisco Championship one year to watch Mexican native Lorena Ochoa. She brought with her a small banner that read, “usted puede hacerlo.”  You can do it. Lizette turned professional in 2012 and has become famous for her inspiring energy on and off the golf course, which makes her the perfect person to serve as our LPGA*USGA Girls Golf Energize Ambassador. LPGA Bio and Stats>>

Tiffany Joh is a comedic genius who’s made a name for herself on both the LPGA Tour circuit, as well as YouTube. She posts videos of herself singing, rapping, playing musical instruments, and even produces her own music videos and shows LPGA Tour pros dancing on the golf course as she sings about how to grip the club! Because she is always engaging her fans through social media as well as on the course, Tiffany is named our LPGA*USGA Girls Golf Engage Ambassador.

Brittany Lincicome is an alumnus of the LPGA*USGA Girls Golf program who started playing at the age of nine and turned professional at the age of nineteen. Now she is one of the LPGA Tour’s most powerful players off the tee, so much so that her friends gave her the nickname Bam Bam! Because of her power in golf and in building her brand she is the LPGA*USGA Girls Golf Empower Ambassador. LPGA Bio and Stats>>
